About Standard Public School

Standard Public School, located in Srinagar, is one of Kashmir’s respected educational institutions, established in 1972 at Alamgari Bazar with a clear and enduring mission: to bring quality education within reach of every household.

Founded by visionary educators Prof. G.M. Mir, Prof. Mohammad Yousuf, and Prof. G.N. Farooq, the school emerged at a time when access to structured schooling in the region was still limited. In its early years, Prof. Yousuf later separated, after which the institution continued under the dedicated leadership of Prof. G.M. Mir, who further strengthened its academic foundation and values-driven direction.

From its inception, Standard Public School was among the pioneering institutions in the area, built on the belief that education should not be a privilege for a few but a right accessible to all. This founding vision continues to guide the school today.

Affiliated with the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education, the school serves students from Nursery to Class X and provides a learning environment supported by modern facilities, including smart classrooms, a fully equipped science laboratory, a rich library, and a dedicated medical clinic.
